What we see happen
Start >> Customize >> Customize some more >> More customizing >> Customize again.
This is not to say that iterating through customization is a bad thing. Quite the opposite. However, unless you have an “approach” outlined, you run the risk of:
- Inconsistent usage.
- Large amount of incomplete data.
- Non-standard and repetitive
- categories/classifications
- Sub-optimal user experience, leading to confusion.
- Poor data insights and reporting/dashboards.
What should happen
- Compare out of the box workflows with yours.
- Adjust simplistically.
- Assess out of the box field configuration and determine important metrics for you.
- Consider boards (Kanban or Scrum), Dashboards, Roadmaps, and how you’d like to use these to gain insights.
- Then start!
What We Think
A strong focus on end-goal/state upfront can accelerate your implementation, buy-in and adoption, best practices and more.
Take the considered approach.
